The 2025 MotoGP season is in full swing for Marc Márquez and Ducati after their 7th consecutive win at the Hungarian Grand Prix at Balaton Park. With this win, Márquez and Ducati further strengthened their huge lead in the championship standings, now holding 455 points, or approximately ₱27 million in prize money, and 175 points clear of second place.
Márquez started from the front row but almost collided with Bezzecchi on the first lap. He recovered quickly and kept his composure until he got the timing right. On lap 11, he took over the lead with the right strategy on the medium compound tires, allowing him to maintain the pace and take the win by more than four seconds.
“The medium tire is a big help, because I can keep up with the speed of the soft. As the race gets longer, I can maintain the rhythm better,” said Márquez, who now continues to lead the MotoGP 2025.
Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia, who started in 13th place, showed improvement. Although he dropped to 9th after the long-lap penalty, he said he was getting more comfortable on the bike with each lap.
The team will return to action at the Grand Prix of Catalonia from September 5 to 7.
