Valenzuela City, Philippines – Authorities conducted an anti-illegal drug operation in Barangay Viente Reales and seized an estimated P1.5 million worth of suspected shabu.
According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), the buy-bust operation was conducted this Sunday morning and resulted in the arrest of a “high-value drug suspect”.
The suspect, identified as “John”, 30 years old from Quezon City, was caught with 500 grams of shabu. According to the PDEA, this is one of the main measures to suppress illegal drugs in the city.
Authorities also said they have closed and dismantled the laboratory believed to be used for illegal drug production. Investigations are ongoing to uncover the full scope of the operation and identify others involved in the drug trade.
The suspect will be charged under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and is expected to face legal process in court in the coming days.
