KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman has announced her temporary hiatus to prioritize her health and personal well-being. The news was released through an official statement by HYBE and Geffen Records, following the group's successful appearance at the Grammy Awards.
According to the management's statement, the decision is the result of open and thorough discussions between Manon and management. Both companies gave their full support to the 23-year-old Swiss singer, who chose to prioritize her mental and physical health. They also emphasized that the group's unity and their commitment to their supporters remain strong.
Despite Manon's temporary absence from activities, the five remaining members — Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Sophia Laforteza, and Yoonchae Jeung — will continue with all scheduled promotions and performances. KATSEYE continues to rise on the global music scene, especially after they received nominations in the Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance categories at the Grammy Awards.
For now, the message remains centered on unity, caring, and support — not only within the group but also from their fans. While Manon is taking a break, the management assured that KATSEYE will continue to deliver quality music and performances, and is eager to complete the group again in due course.
