Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James has made NBA history again. The superstar officially became the first player in the league to reach 43,000 career regular-season points, after making a layup midway through the third quarter against the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
James achieved this milestone in his 1,600th regular-season game, further cementing his scoring legacy against other basketball legends. He is higher than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 38,387 points, and is followed by Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan on the all-time scoring list. At age 41, he continues to perform at the highest level, averaging 21.7 points, 7.2 assists, 5.7 rebounds, and 1.1 steals in 37 games this season.
Despite his impressive scoring success, James still has a limit on his All-NBA selection. Because he didn't meet the league's 65-game minimum requirement, he won't be eligible for end-of-season honors. However, his record-breaking momentum hasn't waned, as he needs just 12 more games to surpass Robert Parish's all-time NBA games played record.
LeBron's success is a testament to his steadiness and determination over two decades in the NBA. Even at age 41, he's shown that talent and discipline are more than just numbers or years.
Despite the challenges, he remains an inspiration to new generations of players. His reaching 43,000 points is not only a mark of his basketball prowess, but also a symbol of long-term dedication and passion for the game.
