Five people were injured after a truck lost control and crashed into six houses and three motorcycles in Barangay Noa, Magpet, Cotabato.
According to the investigation by the Magpet Police, Alvin Ilorica was driving the truck that lost its brakes while going down the road. As a result, the vehicle, which was carrying bananas and was supposed to be heading to the pier outside Cotabato, overturned and rolled.
The incident affected six houses and three motorcycles parked on the side of the road. One of the houses was located just three meters from a small gas station.
Ilorica, his two companions, and two residents of Barangay Noa were injured. They were immediately taken to the hospital for medication and treatment.
According to Barangay Chairman Alvin Egas, the truck owner promised to cover the cost of the damage to the properties and pay for the hospital bills of the injured.
