Audi has unveiled the “Concept C,” a new concept car that will usher in a new design language for its lineup. It draws inspiration from the classic Audi TT and several other models from 1936 to 2004.
The Concept C's face is distinctive, with a “vertical frame” grille that has long been part of Audi's DNA. It draws inspiration from the Auto Union Type C of 1936 and the Audi A6 of 2004. The box-type front and prominent Four Rings give it a bolder identity.
The design is close to the TT, with two seats and a retractable hard-top roof that still looks sleek. Wide fenders house 21-inch wheels with a two-tone finish. Headlights and taillights are dynamic and change depending on day or night. There are carbon fiber body parts such as the splitter, diffuser, and side skirts.
Inside, the theme is clear and simple. The dashboard is minimal with a digital gauge cluster and infotainment tablet that can be hidden. Touch-sensitive buttons with “Audi Click” haptic feedback. Ambient lighting is soft and not dazzling. The seats are made of fiber and leather, which are synthetic but feel premium.
Audi confirms that the Concept C will go into production. It is also the beginning of a new design language that will surely be seen in the brand's future models. Prices are expected to start at around ₱3.5 million, depending on the market.
