Starbucks Japan has brought back the Kyoto Matcha Latte for the 20th anniversary of their pre-made drinks. The drink, which first appeared in 2008, is now more flavorful with a higher concentration of matcha.
The same milk base from the first release will remain, but the flavor will be richer and creamier. Even the cup design and green straw have remained the same for a throwback vibe.
For the perfect partner, Starbucks recommends the Kyoto Matcha Latte with the tuna mayonnaise rice ball. The mix of nori seaweed and tuna deepens the flavor of the matcha, while the mayo complements the milk. It can also be paired with steamed cheesecake for a delicious combination.
The Kyoto Matcha Latte is now available at convenience stores and supermarkets in Japan. It costs ₱120 per cup, depending on the store.
