A man died after he was hit by a falling pole outside a mall in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental this Tuesday afternoon.
According to the investigation, the victim was a rider and was just going to the mall to pick up his wife.
While he was outside the building, the pole suddenly gave way and fell directly on him. He was dead when he was taken to the hospital.
It is not yet clear what caused the pole to fall, but the local government extended its condolences to the victim's family.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine if there was lack of maintenance at the site.
