The relatives of the missing sabungeros asked the Department of Justice on Monday to include Gretchen Barretto and other individuals in the kidnapping cases against Charlie “Atong” Ang. The list includes Ang's children and several police officers.
In their motion for partial reconsideration, the relatives want the following to be indicted for kidnapping with homicide and kidnapping and serious illegal detention: Eric Dela Rosa, Engr. Celso Salazar, Mayor Arjay Mea, William Ang, Gretchen Barretto, and others. According to them, the actions of the said individuals present a prima facie case that deserves to be brought to trial.
For Jaja Pilarta, aside from Barretto, he wants to include Roberto Matillano, Virgilio Bayog, and Johny Consolacion, who were seen at the Manila Arena when his partner Jean Claude Inonog disappeared. He believes that there is a conspiracy behind the incident and all accomplices should be held accountable.
The relatives also believe that the high-profile members of the Alpha Group should also be indicted. According to Pilarta, they are together in the same business, so they know what is happening to each of the missing and possibly know where the victims' relatives were taken.
