
A Philippine Air Force (PAF) helicopter was reportedly seen landing at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City on Wednesday morning as part of a training exercise conducted under strict safety protocols, according to a PAF statement.
According to Col. Ma. Christina Basco, PAF spokesperson, the Bell B-412 combat utility helicopter from the 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing participated in the High-Rise Proficiency Training. This is a regular training exercise of the Air Force in partnership with institutions with high-rise buildings like St. Luke’s.
IBasco explained that such training is important for honing life-saving skills such as aero-medical transport, high-rise rescue, and rapid response to emergencies.I
The PAF also ensured that all such exercises are conducted with strict adherence to safety guidelines to avoid any accidents.
The purpose of these exercises is to maintain a high level of readiness of the PAF to better provide services to the public in times of need.
