
BMW R 18 signed by Pope Leo XIV sold for ₱8.9 million.
A special edition BMW R 18 Transcontinental “bagger” was sold at auction for ₱8.9 million. The motorcycle is signed by Pope Leo XIV himself, making it one of BMW’s most special models.
All proceeds from the auction will go to projects that help children in Madagascar. The goal is to provide help and hope to children in need in that country.
According to Markus Flasch, CEO of BMW Motorrad, the sale of the motorcycle is a great culmination of their charity project. He also expressed his satisfaction that the ₱8.9 million will help youth programs.
BMW Motorrad forwarded the donation through Missio Austria to ensure it would go to projects that would help children. Flasch also thanked the new owner of the unique motorcycle for supporting a good cause.
The BMW R 18 signed by Pope Leo XIV is now considered a rare symbol of unity of faith, luxury, and helping others.
