The body of a 15-year-old girl who had been missing for six months was found in an abandoned house in Laak, Davao de Oro. The body was almost skeletal and in an advanced state of decomposition when it was discovered by children playing and picking fruit in the area.
According to the police report, the children found the body in Purok 13, Barangay Poblacion this Monday morning. They immediately reported it to the authorities. The family identified the victim as “Baby,” 15 years old, based on the clothes he was wearing before he disappeared on April 17.
The investigation revealed that Baby said goodbye to his neighbor to get some WiFi, but he never returned home. To this day, the victim's cellphone has still not been found.
Police Captain Jussibelle Abellon said that there are already persons of interest and the investigation is ongoing. The body will also undergo an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
Authorities continue to search for possible suspects to bring justice to the death of the young woman.
