Police in Pasig City have begun an investigation after a viral video went viral in which four men forcibly entered a house and allegedly harassed residents of Barangay Pinagbuhatan.
Police Col. Hendrix Mangaldan, chief of the Pasig Police Station, confirmed that the incident occurred on September 23. According to him, there has been verification of the social media post and it has been confirmed that it actually occurred in the barangay.
Based on initial findings, this is not a kidnapping case. It turned out that both parties—suspects and victims—know each other and have a prior personal dispute. The police have identified those involved and are collecting their statements for the filing of appropriate charges.
It was also learned that only a toy gun was used, and not a real weapon. Mangaldan said that this was not gang activity but rather a local organization with its own conflicts.
Possible charges to be filed include physical injuries, trespassing, and grave threats, depending on the outcome of the investigation and the testimony of those involved. Authorities assured that all those involved in the incident will be held accountable.
