The Supreme Court reported that 36 courts in Region XI were damaged due to the 7.4 magnitude earthquake in Davao Oriental.
According to Atty. Camille Ting, spokesperson of the Supreme Court, stated in the data of the Office of the Regional Court Management that all 138 courts in the provinces of Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental, Sarangani, South Cotabato, and Surigao del Sur is operation suspended.
The Presiding Judges in the affected areas were allowed to decide when to cease operations to ensure the safety of employees and court users.
