Jerry Seinfeld's RUF-Modified 1971 Porsche 911S Coupe is currently up for auction, with bids exceeding ₱28 million before closing on October 16. Seinfeld is known as one of the biggest Porsche collectors, and this car is a unique blend of classic style and high-performance engineering.
In 2008, Seinfeld purchased the 911S and sent it to RUF Automobile in Germany for customization. The rebuilding process took three years. The original engine was replaced with a RUF-built 3.4L flat-six with 340 horsepower, and fitted with a custom six-speed manual gearbox.
On the outside, you'll find a Gemini Blue Metallic finish that maintains the classic long-hood look. But it's not just the shape that's changed—it has a reinforced chassis, RUF Bilstein suspension, and 930 Turbo brakes. Added to this are power sunroof, Euro-style taillights, H4 headlights, and side mirrors.
Inside, the interior is elegant black leather with Pepita cloth inserts, giving it a vintage touch. This auction showcases the value of celebrity provenance and the brilliance of RUF performance tuning, which is sure to be sought after by car collectors.
The selling point of this car isn't just about the price—it's a symbol of Seinfeld's passion for Porsche and the unique craftsmanship of the RUF. A true collector's item for those looking for a combination of classic design and modern performance.
