A man died after being stabbed by a fellow passenger while riding a jeepney in Barangay Patag, Cagayan de Oro City on Sunday afternoon.
According to police investigation, the victim was coming from Barangay Bayabas and rode a jeepney. Upon arriving in Barangay Patag, he was suddenly stabbed by a passenger who also fled. The victim fell from the jeepney and died on the spot.
Authorities learned that the suspect boarded the bus from the terminal in Barangay Bulua and allegedly followed the victim. The suspect's house in Barangay Carmen was also traced.
Based on information, both the victim and the suspect are from Barangay Bayabas. Police believe the stabbing was caused by a personal dispute.
The suspect will face murder charges.
