A father and son suspected of pushing shabu were killed after fighting with police during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Bongued, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Monday afternoon.
The deceased were identified as Mandangan Noden, 52, and his son Iverson Noden, 29. Approximately P1.6 million worth of shabu was recovered from them, along with two firearms, an M16 rifle and a M14 rifle.
According to the police, the operation was successfully carried out with the help of the local government. But it ended in a encounter after the father and son allegedly fought with the authorities.
Meanwhile, another son, Daboy Noden, 18, surrendered after seeing his father and older brother both killed in the fighting.
