The Rain or Shine ElastoPainters have officially strengthened their backcourt lineup with the acquisition of veteran guard Stanley Pringle. Pringle signed a 2-year contract with the team after a strong performance with TerraFirma Dyip in the previous Philippine Cup.
Pringle, a 4-time PBA champion, averaged 13.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game. He came to TerraFirma after being traded from Barangay Ginebra along with Christian Standhardinger. They were replaced by Stephen Holt, Isaac Go, and the 3rd overall pick in the Season 49 draft which became RJ Abarrientos.
Now, Pringle will join a strong guard rotation of Rain or Shine that includes Andrei Caracut, Adrian Nocum, and Anton Asistio. The team plans to go beyond the semifinals after four consecutive eliminations in this round.
Rain or Shine's new lineup will be seen when the PBA Season 50 opens on October 5, 2025. Pringle is expected to be a big help in Coach Yeng Guiao's system.
