Longines has celebrated the 100 years of the first dual time zone wristwatch by launching a special Spirit Zulu Time 1925 model. It is part of their long-standing connection to travel, first used by the Royal Canadian Navy to tell time locally and on the so-called "Zulu Time" or zero meridian.
For the new watch, Longines showcased the innovative materials and design that they have refined over the decades. It features a 39mm matte black dial, a bidirectional rotating bezel made of 18-carat rose gold, as well as rose gold hands, markers, and a rotor that can be seen on the back of the watch. The use of rose gold is a nod to the copper strip at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich.
There are also new models with a stainless steel body, black dial, and ceramic bezel that shows day and night. The campaign features Henry Cavill, Longines' new global ambassador, who says the Spirit Zulu Time provides an instant connection to loved ones even when they are far apart.
