Authorities seized P1 billion worth of suspected shabu from a house in Angeles City, Pampanga this week. It was found in boxes of Chinese tea bags in a unit inside a subdivision in Barangay Pampang.
According to the report, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) conducted the operation on Monday using a search warrant. Up to 155 kilos of suspected shabu were confiscated from the area.
The target of the operation, a Chinese national identified as Guang Tou, was not apprehended. Authorities are currently searching for him.
The confiscated drugs will be examined by the PDEA Laboratory Service for confirmation. It is noteworthy that this is also similar to the incident on May 14, where 101 kilos of shabu worth P680 million were seized in the same city.
Similar to the new case, the drugs were also hidden in golden Chinese tea bags—a style of concealment that is now becoming the attention of authorities.
