The son and nephew of Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada were beaten in Boracay early Saturday morning, according to the senator's confirmation.
According to Estrada, the two had just returned from a local establishment when the attack occurred.
“Yes, they were beaten,” Estrada said briefly in a telephone interview.
The suspects have been arrested and complaints have been filed against them, according to the senator.
Authorities are continuing their investigation to ensure justice for his relatives.
