A 61-year-old woman, Rosemarie Orcine, died after being hit by three different vehicles while crossing the street in Bgy. Silangan, Quezon City on the evening of May 17. On CCTV, Orcine was seen crossing Illinois Street and Aurora Boulevard past 7 p.m. when she was hit by a black MPV. A few seconds later, he was run over by a white SUV and another car, dragging him along.
According to police, another CCTV showed the driver of the MPV getting out to check his vehicle but then leaving immediately. The SUV continued straight ahead and did not stop. The driver of the car who was involved in the collision is now in custody of the QCPD. He said he did not immediately notice the accident and was surprised to see someone under the vehicle.
The victim's daughter, Katrina Orcine, is grieving. According to her, they are upset because the first person to hit her did not immediately help her mother. She pleaded with the MPV driver to take responsibility for the incident and hope that he would help immediately. The QCPD is still investigating to identify the other drivers.
