Gambling carries risks to society, so strong cooperation among various sectors is essential to safeguard the safety of players, according to PAGCOR chairman Alejandro Tengco during a conference in Quezon City.
PAGCOR has programs that provide responsible gambling such as self-exclusion of players and regulation of game advertisements. It also collaborates with rehabilitation centers to help those affected by addiction.
PAGCOR also warns against fake gambling certifications that charge upfront fees, such as the case of Lucky 7 Bingo Corp. Although it has a license for e-games venues, it is not licensed for offshore gaming as it has been banned since 2024.
