The Sony WH-1000XM6 has been officially released and is now available for purchase worldwide. It's the latest model in their popular 1000X series of wireless headphones known for active noise canceling (ANC). One of the most anticipated returns here is the foldable design—a feature many fans have been looking for since the previous WH-1000XM5.
The new headphones have a QN3 processor, which Sony says is seven times faster than before. They have 12 onboard microphones and Adaptive NC Optimizer that automatically adjusts the sound based on ambient noise and air pressure. If you prefer manual control, you can also edit the settings using the Sony app.
In addition to noise canceling, the WH-1000XM6 has custom-built carbon fiber drivers that deliver clear vocals and richer instrument sound. It also supports High-Resolution Audio, as well as DSEE Extreme that can upscale compressed music files for better sound.
It also has an AI-based beamforming mic system for clear calls even in noisy environments. With the help of Scene-based Listening, ANC is also adjusted based on your location and environment. It is compatible with popular music apps such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Amazon Music.
The headphones have 30 hours of battery life even with ANC on. Within 3 minutes of charge, you can instantly get 3 hours of playtime. They also have Bluetooth LE support and multi-point connectivity, so you can connect to two devices at once. The WH-1000XM6 is now available in Black, Platinum Silver, and Midnight Blue for ₱25,000+ (USD $449.99).
