The explosion at a fertility clinic in Palm Springs, California on Saturday was confirmed by the FBI as an “intentional act of terrorism.” According to Akil Davis, head of the FBI in Los Angeles, this is one of the largest bombing investigations in Southern California.
According to witnesses, a vehicle exploded near the American Reproductive Centers. One person was confirmed dead, while four others were injured. debris flew more than 180 meters, and several roofs of nearby buildings were also damaged.
The mayor of Palm Springs said the explosion came from a vehicle parked near the building. No staff were injured, and the clinic's eggs, embryos, and reproductive materials are still safe.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a statement, calling the incident "unforgivable" and assuring the government that action was being taken. She added, "Women and mothers are the heart of America."
While the investigation continues, the FBI is also continuing to protect the identity of the deceased. It is still unclear whether the deceased is a suspect in the incident, according to several reports.
