A 17-year-old mother and her 6-month-old baby were brutally murdered by her live-in partner in Brgy. Talogoy, Malita, Davao Occidental, allegedly due to extreme jealousy.
The crime was discovered the other day when a foul smell began to emanate from the victims' house. According to the Davao Occidental Police, the bodies of the mother and daughter were said to be beginning to decompose when they were found.
Based on the investigation, it is possible that they had been dead for three to four days. Both the mother and baby suffered deep cuts to the head and neck. A bloody knife believed to have been used in the attack was also found at the crime scene.
It was learned that on April 15, 2025, the suspect was summoned to the barangay for beating his partner, which was allegedly caused by extreme jealousy.
The search for the suspect is still ongoing so that he can be caught and held accountable for the crime. Many residents were shocked and mourned the fate of the mother and daughter.
