Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) together with its dealer partner in Cebu delivered relief goods and clean water for 200 families in Barangay Poblacion, San Remigio, one of the areas severely affected by the earthquake.
The earthquake on September 30, 2025, which reached a magnitude of 6.9, affected more than 170,000 people and claimed more than 70 lives, according to authorities. As a result, San Remigio was declared under a state of calamity.
The assistance was led by Mario Ojales, IPC Department Head of Dealer Sales, and Eufemio Ybanez, Isuzu Mandaue Branch Head. Isuzu Mobile Medic trucks, which are normally used for vehicle assistance, were used to deliver relief supplies — a testament to the company's concern and innovation.
According to Ojales, “At Isuzu, being a Responsible Partner means helping the community especially during times of disaster.” Ybanez added, “It was great to see the solidarity and we were proud to be able to provide support to our countrymen.”
Barangay Captain Rey Tamboboy and local officials warmly welcomed the group and helped distribute the aid. The captain expressed his gratitude and said that the support from Isuzu Philippines brought great hope and comfort.
