
Three people, including an 80-year-old man, were injured after firecrackers exploded inside a house in Barangay San Juan, San Ildefonso, Bulacan on Wednesday afternoon. According to the Bureau of Fire Protection, the incident occurred at around 4:20 p.m. and was extinguished after about 10 minutes.
According to the police report, neighbors heard a loud explosion and immediately called for help. The victims, aged 80, 40 and 55 years old, were immediately taken to the hospital after sustaining injuries in various parts of their bodies. They are currently recovering in the hospital.
According to the account of one of the victims, he was fixing the cable wire of their television when the cable suddenly spark and ignited the fireworks stored in the house. As a result, there was a fire and explosion.
The PNP and BFP are continuing to investigate the accident to determine the root cause of the incident.
