A barangay health worker identified as Cristina “Tinay” Padora, 49, died after being electrocuted while helping flooded residents in Brgy. Bayugo, Meycauayan, Bulacan.
According to the report, Tinay accidentally came into contact with a live wire submerged in the floodwaters while performing her duties. She was immediately taken to the hospital but she could not be saved.
Meanwhile, a body of a woman was found floating in the river of Brgy. Taliptip, Bulacan around 12:30 noon. A boatman spotted the body while on his way to Taliptip Fishport and immediately reported it to the barangay and authorities.
Residents expressed sympathy for Tinay and praised her heroism as a loyal public servant who offered service in the midst of the disaster.
