Nadine Lustre's BF, Christophe Bariou, promotes veganism in PETA campaign

Christophe Bariou, the boyfriend of actress Nadine Lustre, has joined PETA's campaign to promote the vegan lifestyle as a way to prevent harm to animals. The campaign aims to end speciesism, or the belief that “other animals are inferior to humans,” by encouraging the public to adopt veganism and avoid any animal products.

According to Bariou, "Being vegan is the most effective way to improve your health and protect the planet." He added that no animal wants to be killed just for flesh or milk that only provides short-term benefits. Because of this, he is proud to partner with PETA to encourage everyone to leave animals alone and try a vegan lifestyle.

In 2022, Bariou chose a vegan lifestyle after learning about the suffering of cows and other animals in the meat and dairy industry. He also joined his girlfriend, Nadine Lustre, in adopting this lifestyle. Their decision aims to show concern for the environment and the animals around them.

According to PETA, cows in the dairy industry are often subjected to castration, dehorning, and branding without pain relief, and are ultimately slaughtered for their product. Bariou emphasizes that even if labeled “organic” or “ethical,” the milk sold to Filipinos comes from an industry where animals and their young suffer and die.

Through this campaign, Bariou and PETA aim to spread awareness of the effects of animal-based products and encourage more people to try veganism, not only for their health but for the well-being of animals and our planet.
