Newport World Resorts' dining scene is getting more lively and vibrant with the opening of Brotzeit German Bier Bar and Restaurant on its plaza. While the space is entirely indoors, the outdoor seating has an al fresco feel due to the plaza's open design, while inside, a beer bar with a variety of German beers on tap and a mezzanine that can be reserved for private events greets guests.
Brotzeit brings true Bavarian flavors to their signature dishes. Featured here is the Schweinshaxe, a crispy pork knuckle raised in beer and grilled, which resembles crispy pata but has a deeper European character. The offering also includes sausage platters and schnitzel, which are accompanied by pretzels and sauerkraut for the complete experience.
Upcoming new dishes were also previewed under the leadership of culinary director Chef Ivan Maminta. One of these is rollmops, a European delicacy consisting of pickled herring on rye bread, which will be accompanied by roasted potatoes, bacon bits, beetroot salad, and fried egg in its final version.
