
The Piggatan Detour Bridge in Alcala, Cagayan is 84% complete, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
The DPWH showed on Facebook the current construction of the bridge that will serve as an alternative to the Piggatan Bridge that collapsed in October.
The Piggatan Detour Bridge is expected to be completed by December this year and will help facilitate the smooth movement of goods and services in the area.
The old Piggatan Bridge collapsed on October 6 after three heavy trucks weighing about 50 tons each passed over it, injuring seven people.
