The three men were killed in an anti-drug operation in Cubao, Quezon City, according to the police's PDEG. The incident occurred yesterday afternoon near a gasoline station at the corner of 13th Avenue and Justice Lourdes Paredes San Diego Street in Barangay Socorro.
According to the police, the Special Operations Unit 3 led by Col. Richard Ian Ang is pursuing a suspect known as alias Dan and his associates. The operatives were allegedly conducting a drug deal when the suspects suddenly opened fire.
Because of this, the police were forced to retaliate, resulting in the deaths of the three suspects on the spot.
The police also reported that firearms were recovered that were allegedly used by the suspects in the encounter.
