The Highway Patrol Group (HPG) seized 7 unregistered luxury cars at a gas station in NLEX, Marilao, Bulacan. According to HPG spokesperson Lt. Nadame Malang, the operation on Nov. 17 was conducted following a tip from a concerned citizen about vehicles with improvised or no license plates.
The vehicles—including Ferraris, Nissan GTRs, Toyota Supra, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota Land Cruiser, and BMW—were found to be unregistered. The LTO seized them while records verification continues. They are also being investigated for any connections to the Discaya family, which has been implicated in allegations of tax and customs violations.
Malang revealed that they have received information that some luxury cars allegedly connected to the family are possibly being traveled and sold. It is also doubtful whether any transactions took place because the vehicles took more than an hour to arrive at the gas station.
Meanwhile, only three of the seven Discaya luxury cars were sold at the BOC auction, earning ₱38 million from the target of ₱103 million. These included the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG, Mercedes-Benz G500 Brabus, and Lincoln Navigator. The other four units, such as the Rolls Royce Cullinan and Bentley Bentayga, did not receive any bidders and will have their floor price reviewed again.
The HPG and LTO continue their broader operations against unregistered vehicles, including the anti-colorum drive where several commuter vans were also confiscated in Southern Luzon.
