
Two security guards were found dead inside the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) office in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay on Tuesday morning, November 4. Both victims were identified as Arcadz Dawila Muharal, 41, and Dante Miro Jamie, 52, who suffered gunshot wounds.
According to investigators, armed men allegedly shot two guards while they were on duty inside the office before dawn. After the shooting, the suspects fled and even took the storage disk of the BIR office's CCTV system.
Ipil police and barangay officials are continuing to work together to identify and arrest the perpetrators. Brig. Gen. Eleazar Matta said they are doing everything they can to bring justice to the deaths of the two guards.
The incident has caused fear and concern among employees and residents in the area as the investigation continues.
