100 Songs for Stella, sequel to the 2017 hit 100 Poems for Stella, has a new soundtrack full of emotion. It includes songs written by Thyro Alfaro and sung by Rob Deniel, Kyle Echarri, Amiel Sol, and Shanne Dandan. The movie will be released in cinemas in the Philippines on September 10.
Following the story 15 years after the first film, Stella (Bela Padilla) is a successful event organizer who reunites with Fidel (JC Santos). While they try to fix the past, Clyde (Echarri) arrives, complicating their feelings.
Deniel brought to life the song Simoy, about a one-sided love and full of sacrifice. In the song Iisang Daan, Deniel and Echarri performed a duet, depicting the difficulty of moving on and accepting a new beginning.
Echarri also sang Nakaupo and Lipstick Na Itim. In Nakaupo, the tension and pressure in a relationship are shown. While Lipstick Na Itim is Fidel's song for Stella, but is sung by Clyde who has no knowledge of their past.
To conclude, Amiel Sol and Shanne Dandan sang a touching version of Rico Blanco's Balisong. Their rendition reflected the sadness and longing for Stella and Fidel's reunion.
