
A 21-year-old man in San Pablo, Laguna was arrested after his former relationship complained about online harassment.
According to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the suspect used the victim's photos and videos for blackmail. He allegedly threatened the woman that he would show the obscene videos and photos to her husband and acquaintances if she did not meet him for sex.
The man was caught in an entrapment operation after the victim complained. Police advice: “Let’s not let ourselves be abused. If you are experiencing online abuse or harassment, immediately approach the PNP ACG.”
The suspect is now facing a case of grave coercion under the Cybercrime Prevention Act. If found guilty, he could be fined up to ₱100,000 or imprisoned depending on the court's verdict.
