A 64-year-old father was injured after being stabbed by his own son in Brgy. Bariis, Legazpi City, yesterday afternoon. The victim was identified as Simeon, while the suspect son, Nonong, is now facing a case of frustrated parricide.
According to the report, the father came home from a drinking party and found his son. The father allegedly scolded his son for his bad behavior, but the son got irritated and responded rudely. As a result, the father slapped the son.
The suspect was very angry and took out a gun, then hit the father in the head and back. The father and son struggled and the wounded father managed to grab the gun before the son could escape.
The victim immediately sought help from a neighbor and was brought to the Bicol Regional Hospital and Medical Center. Meanwhile, the suspect was caught in a pursuit operation conducted by the police after several hours.
