Some pet owners' dogs have become the center of discussion after an old post about using a baby diaper changing station at a mall—for dogs—resurfaced. According to a post on Reddit, it was taken in a mall restroom in Pampanga in 2021, during the height of the pandemic.
The uploader shared the experience as a warning to others. “It’s still a pandemic era… they’re using a diaper changing table for babies on their dog! It’s terrible!” he said. Many netizens expressed their dispute over the fur parents’ actions.
Comments on Facebook and Threads also showed dismay. Another user said, “As much as I love my fur baby, I wouldn't put him in a place like this. Many babies have fur allergies, it's dangerous!”
According to some mall guidelines such as the SM Supermalls pet policy, it is clear that pets are not allowed on diaper changing tables or baby seats inside the restroom. There are malls that are pet-friendly, but there are still limitations on the use of facilities.
This situation is a reminder to pet owners to be responsible and consider the hygiene and safety of other people, especially babies.
