Businessman Atong Ang and actress Gretchen Barretto have been linked to the disappearance of several sabangeros. A suspect named Julie “Dondon” Patidongan has come forward and said that Ang is the mastermind behind the kidnappings. According to Patidongan, those involved include Eric Dela Rosa and Celso Salazar.
According to Patidongan, Dela Rosa was the one who observed the cockfighting and reported the cheating to Ang. When there was cheating, Ang and Salazar allegedly ordered the “catch” or arrest of those involved. He further said that some police officers were allegedly ordered to hunt down the cockfighting.
Patidongan also mentioned actress Gretchen Barretto. He said Barretto was involved because she was always with Ang. He urged the actress to cooperate in the investigation.
Patidongan said he came forward today because he has confidence in PNP Chief Nicolas Torre III. According to him, he knows that the new chief is not being paid.
Meanwhile, Ang's camp denied the allegations and said they will file a case against Patidongan. According to Ang's lawyer, Lorna Kapunan, they will file a complaint to end the speculations.
