The popular donut chain J.CO Donuts and Coffee Philippines has warned the public against reselling their product. According to them, they do not have official or authorized resellers, so it is not allowed.
J.CO said in a Facebook post on June 23 that it “highly discouraged” the sale of donuts outside of its stores. They encouraged everyone to buy directly from their branches to ensure the freshness and good quality of their favorite donuts.
Some netizens on Reddit wondered why so many people were reselling J.CO donuts. One user said that it might be because there are few branches in other areas like Northern Luzon, so some people are selling at terminals. Another wondered if the ones being sold were still fresh because they might be discarded donuts.
Back in February, someone was asking about this and said they've been seeing reselling on sidewalks and Facebook groups for a long time. This is not pass-through, but rather like the resellers' own stores.
J.CO is an Indonesian cafe known for their delicious donuts like Alcapone, Heaven Berry, Forest Glam, Sugar Ice, Jacky Chunk, Choco Nutzy, and Don Mochino.
