The confusing signage on the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) that both read “Alabang Exit” has drawn laughter and complaints online. A photo shared by Muntinlupa Mayor Ruffy Biazon on Facebook on June 25, 2025 shows the two signs that both have the Alabang label but lead to different routes.
Many people laughed and were confused by the signage. A videographer posted on Facebook and said that it looked like there was a “patch update” at SLEX. It received thousands of reactions and shares. content creator Macoy Dubs commented that their new sign is even more confusing.
Mayor Biazon clarified that it was not the local government that put up the signs but the private operator of SLEX. According to him, the sign has been up for a long time but was only noticed now. When he passed by again, he noticed that it had been replaced but it was more confusing because it said Alabang and the direction text was very small.
Biazon assured that they will coordinate with the SLEX operator to fix this. He said that clear signage is important to avoid confusion for motorists and prevent accidents.
