
The Collegiate Press Corps (CPC) will hold an Awards Night to recognize standout players and coaches from the UAAP Season 87 and NCAA Season 100. It will be held at the Discovery Suites Manila in Ortigas, Pasig. Athletes and coaches who demonstrated excellence throughout the season will be honored.
Mapua's Clint Escamis led the list of honorees as the CPC Men's Basketball Player of the Year after helping the Cardinals win their first title in 33 years. Joining him was Ateneo's Kacey Dela Rosa, who was named Women's Basketball Player of the Year for her performance in leading the Blue Eagles to the Final Four and back-to-back UAAP MVPs.
The UAAP Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year goes to Goldwin Monteverde of UP after returning the Fighting Maroons to the top. Randy Alcantara of Mapua is the NCAA Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year. In volleyball, NU's Bella Bellen has been named the UAAP Women's Volleyball Player of the Year three times while Benilde's Zam Nolasco is the NCAA Women's Volleyball Player of the Year.
From football to volleyball, MVPs such as Mon Diansuy and Carmela Altiche from FEU and Amir Aningalan of San Beda were honored as the first-ever Football Players of the Year were honored. There was also a special recognition for the NCAA for its 100 years of inspiring sports in the country.
