A 50-year-old businessman was killed after being shot in Barangay Commonwealth, Quezon City on Monday night. According to Kagawad Elmer Buena, a resident called after hearing consecutive gunshots. Upon arriving at the scene, they found the victim lying lifeless and bloodied.
The victim had two gunshot wounds to the head, and bullet casings were also found in the vicinity. Responding officers confirmed that the woman was already lifeless when they arrived.
During the investigation, it was discovered that the victim came from his store at the market. Witnesses stated that a man followed him and suddenly shot him while he was walking.
According to the neighbors, the victim was a businessperson who provided loans, but they did not mention any enemies or threats to their life. Due to the incident, security measures in the barangay have been tightened.
The investigation continues by the authorities, and the police are currently conducting a follow-up operation to identify the suspect.
