The fire that occurred in a residential area in Barangay Buting, Pasig resulted in the deaths of five people. The deceased were all relatives, and among them was a one-year-old baby.
The fire started around 10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 4. On the third floor of the building, the bodies of a daughter and son were found, while the a father and son were found on the fourth floor.
The baby was also found on the floor of the building and is believed to have fallen from a height. According to the investigation, the house was made of light materials, which is why the fire spread quickly.
An estimated ten households were affected and more than 50 people were affected. Investigations by authorities are continuing to determine the cause of the fire.
This incident caused great sadness among residents and reminded them once again of the importance of fire precautions, especially in densely populated areas made of lightweight materials.
