Several men were spotted emerging from a concrete culvert in Makati, sparking curiosity and anxiety among the public. According to a news report, men also entered the same drainage where the woman was first seen emerging from the sewer.
Although the exact moment the men came out was not captured, a photographer managed to capture some images. The men explained that they were just resting or escaping the heat and rain.
It was also discovered that the drainage system extends 450 meters, from Rufino Street to Dela Rosa, Pio del Pilar. This means that it is possible to cross it underground. It was also noticed that part of the cement under the metal grills was broken, which probably served as a passage into the culvert.
Because of this, the Makati PNP appealed to the local government for immediate action and repairs of the drainage system. This is to maintain safety and prevent unauthorized entry into the city's underground.
The incident has caused discussion and concern, with many calling for tighter monitoring and repairs of these tunnels.
