The 6th of top most wanted in Pasig City was arrested by police last night for a carnapping case. He was identified by the alias “Joel”, 35 years old, a construction worker and a resident of Barangay Rosario, Pasig City.
According to the report, alias Joel was caught in an operation conducted by the Follow-up Section together with Rosario Police Sub-Station 7. Authorities have reportedly been pursuing him for a long time.
An arrest warrant was issued against Joel by the Pasig Regional Trial Court Branch 166. His case is related to Republic Act No. 10883 or better known as the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
Bail was set at ₱300,000. The suspect is currently in the custody of the Pasig City Police while his case is being processed.
The police continue to remind the public to be alert and cooperate with authorities to catch those involved in the crime.
