A barangay captain and two guards are being sought by police after a Siberian Husky in their custody died in Cuenca, Batangas. The incident occurred after the dog bit the captain's pet rooster.
When the dog escaped from the cage, it entered the captain's yard and bit his chicken. The captain hit the dog on the head with a stick to stop it. They took the dog to the barangay dog pound for temporary custody.
Unfortunately, the dog died while at the dog pound. The veterinarian confirmed that the dog suffered severe head injuries, which caused its death. The owner plans to file a case against the captain and the guards under the Animal Welfare Act.
