A man wanted in a rape case was arrested in Bagong Silang, Caloocan on May 18, 2025. According to Police Lt. Col. Alain Licdan of the NPD Special Operations Unit, the suspect is on the most wanted list of the DILG and NPD and was caught inside his own house.
The investigation revealed that the victim was the suspect's girlfriend and the godmother of his child. There was an arrest warrant issued in 2023. According to the police, there was a witness who was the victim's child. The child allegedly saw the suspect lying on top of his mother after putting her aside.
According to the PNP report, the man has been in hiding for a long time. He is a carpenter and moves from place to place depending on the location of his work. However, he still occasionally returns to Caloocan, where he was caught by police after he was assaulted in his house.
To avoid being noticed, the suspect locked the door from the outside, but he was unaware that he was being watched. The police arrested him right there in the house.
The man admitted that he had a case, but he denied the crime. “There is no truth. I made that up. He said the reason he continued the case was because his father scolded him,” the suspect said. Currently, the man is in custody of the NPD while the return of warrant is being processed.
