A 25-year-old woman who was an employee of a fast food chain in Tandang Sora, Quezon City died after being stabbed by her former co-worker on May 3, past 9 a.m. night.
In the CCTV footage, the man can be seen dragging the victim into the store's kitchen. He was carrying a blade and knife and he stabbed and slashed the victim several times. Despite being wounded, the woman tried to fight back and chase the suspect, but the two fought again until the man pinned her.
According to Jarwin Jarapa, Barangay Sangandaan official, they immediately called the police after receiving a report that a bloody body was found inside the store. The first person who saw it thought that the woman had committed suicide.
The Quezon City Police said the suspect was identified with the help of CCTV and left behind ID. Three weeks before the crime, the suspect became angry after the victim confronted him about the inventory report. As a result, the man was fired.
The suspect even got a new job after the incident. According to a witness, he was seen with scratches on his face. Nothing was missing from the victim's belongings or from the store, so police suspect revenge as the motive. Authorities are still searching for him.
